Minimalist Notes is a passion project. We believe simple note-taking should be free. There's no venture capital to satisfy, no investors demanding revenue. Just a tool we wanted to exist.
Will it become paid later?
The core app will always be free. If we ever add premium features, they'll be for things like cloud sync - the local note-taking experience will remain completely free forever.
What's the catch?
No catch. Notes are stored locally in your browser, so we don't have server costs for storing your data. No servers = no ongoing costs = no need to charge you.
